Lab 3

Here is my lab 1 for Advanced Digital Cartography. I wanted to see if there was a relationship between % born in Mexico and the amount of service industry jobs. I think it turned out well, but if I was to do it again I would choose another variable with more variation than the service industry variable. Maybe average income instead. One of the things that doesn't show up very well in these maps is how few Mexican-origin people there are in some states. For example in Vermont only .1% of the population was born in Mexico. Virginia has about 7.8% born in Mexico.
